For over 20 years, I have specialized in selling high-end White Oak lumber all over the world. White Oak is a nuanced species and difficult to learn. There are significant differences from within the species – cellular structures vary enormously, characteristics change from region to region based on temperature, moisture, soil content, elevation and much more.

It is a magical species. White Oak’s organic compounds and essential oils are many, and they are delicate and highly heat sensitive. Walking into a dry kiln of White Oak is unforgettable, and the heavenly aromas are almost overpowering. Through the years, many have tried to literally bottle this experience, but the technology has remained elusive.

However, with over four years of research and development with leading research scientists (PhD Medicinal Chemist and PhD Biologist), we had a historic breakthrough in capturing the delicate and nuanced wonder of White Oak. We founded Soluble Oak™ on the principle of preserving each of the 200+ compounds present in White Oak.

From a business standpoint, we have been unorthodox. We didn’t start by analyzing markets, crunching numbers or thinking about how to optimize profits. Through scientific innovation, we pioneered an environmentally sustainable alternative to barrel aging which uses 96% less oak, and protects majestic old oak trees.
